The results of focus groups will guide the development of a questionnaire that will allow researchers to collect quantitative data within the African American community that is representative of the specific cultural nuances of that community. Afrocentrism, an African-centered philosophical perspective where words are used to interpret actions, will guide this work. Deliverables include a summary of each focus group, the questionnaire, and a list of recommendations.
